Crabs Drop Second in a Row

The Ducks got out to an early 3-0 lead and held on to win 6-2.

Byron Batson made his first start for the Crabs. He pitched the entire 1st and faced two batters in the second before being pulled from the game. He allowed 5 hits and 4 runs all earned. He walked one batter and struck one out. Newcomer Jarrett Grube would pitch for 3.2 innings, allowing 2 runs, one earned, on 3 hits. Grube intentionally walked 1 batter while striking out 3. Derrick Ellison would pitch 1.1 innings allowing only one hit while striking out 2. Matt Schweitzer would pitch a scoreless inning while striking out one. Mike James also pitched a scoreless and hitless inning.

The Crabs scored only 2 runs. The First run came in the 3rd; with one out John Ramistella would walk and score on a fielder's choice hit into by James Shanks. Our second run came in the 7th. Chuck Jeroloman led off the inning with a single, and would score on an RBI error hit by Blue Crabs Newcomer Liu Rodriguez.
